Project Description
Sailing The Gulf Coast
Charlotte Harbour estuary is the second largest estuary in the state of Florida and provides an important ecological breeding ground for numerous fish, bird and animal species, as well as creating a natural fishing and boating paradise.
It has been voted one of the top 10 places to sail in the US as well as one the top 10 sailing destinations in the world by SAIL magazine.
Imagine…
Cruising the uncrowded waters of Charlotte Harbour and taking in the sunset while dining at a dockside restaurant.
Exploring a secluded sandy beach or out-island state park as you island hop along the Gulf of Mexico between Boca Grande, Cabbage Key, Useppa, Cayo Costa, Captiva and Sanibel.
Maybe just simply having fun spotting manatees roam around and dolphins frolic in the wake of your vessel.
Local charter companies have daily schedules and can arrange everything for you to live out these dreams. They can also provide fishing charters if you fancy catching a Goliath Grouper!
